Key Dates for Academy Recruitment and the Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme:

  • Common Application Forms are sent to all parents of year 6 learners.
  • 17th October 2008: CAFs returned to the LA via primary schools.
  • 14th November 2008: Details of all applications sent to admissions authorities.
  • 19th December 2008: Assessment tests to be completed for any admission authorities that use their own tests.
  • 12th January 2009: Admissions authorities apply the schools over subscription criteria (if appropriate) and provide the LA with a ranked list of applicants.
  • By 9th February 2009: The LA allocate places
  • 20th February 2009: LA will notify schools / admissions authorities of which parents have been offered places at their schools.
  • 2nd March 2009: Notification sent to parents.
  • 20th March 2009: Last date for offers to be accepted by parents.
